How to Make a Spray Bottle Paint Jellyfish

This is a fun craft project that combines different art techniques. It is messy and playful, and makes a wonderful summer craft activity.

What You’ll Need:

  • Balloon

  • Paper Mache Paste (flour, craft glue and water)

  • White Tissue Paper

  • Spray Bottle

  • Acrylic or Watercolour Paint

  • Water

  • Ribbons or Old Clothes

  • Thread & Needle

Step 1 - Make the paper mache paste by mixing ¼ flour, ½ water and plenty of craft glue.

Step 2 - Inflate the balloon and cover it with strips of white tissue paper using the paper mache paste. Let it dry overnight.

Step 4 - Fill the spray bottle with a small amount of paint and water. Let the child have fun spraying the jellyfish’s head. It is a good idea to place the head inside a big carton box to avoid spraying the wall, floor and furniture!

Step 5 - Bundle some ribbons and other long strips of fabric. Tie the fabric together using a needle and thread. Thread the thread through the centre of the jellyfish’s head. Pull the thread through, tie it off and hang your jellyfish. It makes a perfect hanging decoration!

Super simple right? If you get around to making this Spray Bottle Paint Jellyfish, I'd love to see it! Tag @collectionaise on Instagram or simply email hello@collectionaise.com :-)
